Poetry Friday- Sight

Mona sensed this one....

Sight
Set your sights on it
Set them high
You're out of sight, man!
You were a sight for sore eyes.
(what does that mean anyway?
will it help your eyes that are sore feel better
or make them more sore?
always got that mixed up!)
Hindsight is always 20/20
so why did I still need glasses yesterday?!
Love is blind....
until it slams some people with its near-sightedness...
maybe love should come with a prescription for glasses
just in case the the eyes grow dim
("my eyes are dim, I can not see,
I have not brought my specs with me...")
but then, what's up with the rose-coloured glasses?
better to be clearly focused on now
with neither the microscope
nor the magnifying glass-
a fine balance

And seeing is believing; but I don't need to see how cold that pond water is now at the approach of winter brrings!
I hope that you got to see Dallas at night.

I wonder how people who never have the need for glasses or lenses, react to your post here?

I have known since a teenager.
Mobbed - haha - look at him -professor with glasses.
But I did beat the most of them , in Sports.
And it's "allways" the most "stupid" that in young age starts to mob the more brainy ones.
Is that your experience as well?

Have a great weekend.
btw. Yeah, we will have a very special weekend

"I see," said the blind man and picked up his hammer and saw.

I went to a wedding yesterday and sat up front. When the bride couldn't clip the necklace (no rings) around the grooms neck she gratefully took the glasses I offered to see it better.

Thanks for your lovely post.
I love this one: "maybe love should come with a prescription for glasses".I agree that the last one is even more illuminating.
