The New Receptionist! Some New Patients Too!

"I've been waiting for half an hour!"

(A long time ago we had these black cats, Goblin (big guy on the left) and Soot, (kitten) who just loved to come in the office and sit in the waiting room chairs. It always looked as if they were next in line!)

"I'm sorry, we're booked solid!" (And if that phone rings once more, I'm NOT answering it! I'm on break!)

"I can't seem to find your file. When were you here last?"

(OUR pages are cat-eared!)

"Okay, I'm officially on break!"

"I wonder what that machine could do for all my aches and pains? Think I'd better chew the wires and find out!"

(Our cat, Socks, loves sitting in various chairs in the office. She works the waiting room to get her daily dose of attention and she usually gets quite a bit!)

Soot! I am currently reading "The Secret Garden" to my kids and so of course I wonder if your kitty was named after Dickon's crow?

Maybe a silly question, but you don't worry that some patients might be allergic to cats?

I actually was thinking what Richard was...about allergies (my Girl has 'em). But part of a cat's charm is making people forget it's a cat, right?

urban-urchin: No, it wasn't, but my Gr. 3's at the time thought it would be a good name for a black cat so I took their advice!

Absolute Vanilla: yeah, I liked that one best too!

Storyteller: Thanks! I could get into dogs too but I just never had one. They all do pretty funny things and keep us entertained.

Gr: We should have a family reunion!

akelamalu: In real life too!

Twilight: Thanks! You have a good one too! Cats would be good at some workplaces, not restaurants. You see them at stores all the time.

Richard: Actually, these pics are all taken after hours so they don't go in during the day unless they come in the door with patients. Then, they get put in the house. We vacuum the chairs etc. often and we've never had anyone who is allewrgic have a problem.

Jocelyn: Yeah, they can be charming and bratty too! see above to Richard. If they get in, we ask right away if someone is allergic so we can get them out quickly. Guess we've been lucky and most people actually like it when they have a chance to pet them. The patients who are elderly really love them. They have a couple of resident cats in the Old Age Home in town here so maybe it's not a problem there either.

I love places that have cats in them. I always feel that someone must be wonderful if they are loved by cats.

"Could you turn off that light for me?"

At last...

Colleen: They do seem to suit the place!

Dan: Okay, she's hired! There are some bonuses too when the other employees bring in tuna sandwiches!

Diana: Yes, they are certainly particular as to whom they let into their lives! Most people love seeing these cats here the odd time when they sneak in!

Pauline: I do so love my feline friends. They are family.

Steve: You crack me up!

"Bring me some tuna and I'm sure I can fit you in at 12:00 noon!"
