This is a great story. I too had braids when I was 5 but not as long as yours. Mine got wound around and tied with ribbons on either side. I can tell what a happy child you were!

Barbara: Thanks! I was such a funny little "brat" as my sisters often remind me, I had to document it! I loved when they did that with braids as you had done with yours! I could sit on my hair when my mom would finally get it combed out, (with the help of TAME and the odd scream!)and the bottoms of my pj's would be all wet!

Barbara: The modern version was No More Tangles spray-on! Remember pink sponge rollers every Sat. night when watching Rawhide and the Bonanza a few years later! (Well that was our night to wash hair because of Sun. school the next day.)
