Little Miss Sunshine - A Wee Bit Late!

My Gr. 1 photo sports a beautiful little Pixie cut amazingly done by a barber without the aid of proper scissors!! The cowlicks have it going madly off in all directions! The week before this picture was taken, I had my long braids hacked off because there was so much gum, candy and honey stuck to them! That is because I loved eating my toast on the flip side! (That's another post altogether!)

My penchant for jewels is evident even then! I still have the glass heart my dad gave to his three daughters but, alas, I have lost the Canadian Red Cross pin they gave to every school kid in Canada in 1958 ! It had a gold background that I thought was real!

Mother of Invention, wishing I'd kept that pin!

No joke, there is a German model who is making that hairdo the latest craze. I just read it in a magazine the other day.

So cute. And I can't wait to hear the story about all that gum and honey in your hair ... I still get food all in my hair.

A little late but still the right day -- cute photo with the ear to ear grin!

Stop eating your hair ladies! Although If I'd thought of doing that, I might have ended up with a decent cut.

That's hysterical, and a cute picture. You didn't by chance eat paste too, did you?

My mom swore that she was going to cut all my hair off, because I used to get gum in it all the time. The cut is really cute on you though.

(Peanut butter gets gum out of hair if you ever have another accident.)

You have really sparkling blue eyes there MoI. And yes it was quite daring to wear a pin *and* a necklace to school photo day.

You had a winning smile even back then. And yes, we had matching pixies. I'll bet you couldn't wait for your hair to grow out again even though it was easy to care for.

Bobealia: Hey, I was cool then! But I'm not gettin' that cut now! I look terrible in short hair! Although I have high cheekbones,I have pudgy cheeks!

Beth: Thanks for doing this contest..was fun! I'll have to check that post...might have posted it last year but not many were reading it then so maybe I'll re-post!

Dale: Yes, I still have a wide smile. Thanks.

CP: Strangely enough, I didn't eat paste, like every other kid in art class! Wasn't sweet enough I guess!

lulu: PB gets gum out? Hope I never have to put that one to the test!

PF Slippers: Yes, my eyes took over my face but I finally grew into them, and they still sparkle most of the time! Fashion faux pas? I just couldn't get enough jewels!

Mellowlee: Thanks..my sisters both still have their braids! I think they should have kept mine anyway! It was a low maintenance style. Wish I could wear it now!

Jacob's Mom: Thanks. I still have the smile I'm told!

Barbara: My mom had it permed as soon as it was long enough! I hated perms too! They made me look like an "adult"! Very few people can wear really short cuts...Demi Moore perhaps!

Charles: Thanks! My parents didn't always think so!!

Uh, here's that thing again..Thanks but I doubt that! Okay, we were both cute! What was up with taking us to Barbers? Did they invent the pixie cut?!! I was so little I had to sit on this board they put across the seat!

Anyone who knows anything links london about jewelry understands the hierarchy of precious links of london bracelet metals with platinum being atop it. links of london charms While many people pine for gold, platinum is more highly prized
links of london watches by the informed. Platinum is an extremely rare, links of london rings even more so then gold which in part the reason links of london necklaces why it is considered superior.
