Poetry Friday Time
Mona says we have all the TIME in the world for poetry this Friday! The word was TIME.
time
we
measure it
tell it
make it
spend it
save it
waste it
waste it
count it
give it
bank it
bank it
lose it
clock it
kill it
kill it
change it
buy it
- we need to savour it
time
it ticks
it tocks
starts us
stops us
it travels
unravels
it changes us
rearranges us
it heals
reveals
it flies
it dies
it stands still
released in a pill
it charms us .....
but most of all alarms us!
Well, I had to stop there because I ran out of......well, you know!

Or "footprints on the sands of".
Frankly, I wish that it would speed up into spring. Your Canadian air is getting tiresome!

Fun! Too much fun by far. *g* I confess though, when I first read the word Mona handed us I thought of ELO's album then Pink Floyd's song. *shaking my head*

Ah ... I love love love this!!!! And even better, I managed to get here in "timely" fashion for a change. Happy Belated Valentine's Day. I was late getting to my computer this morning, so you missed my two Haiku ... one on each blog.
Hugs and blessings,

So much you can do with time. I suppose what we do with it determines how successful our lives will be.

Cool poem! Of course, I would just have been contentious and said "Time - does not exist" ;-)

Hi MOI! Yep I change the title from Changes to Time when I read yours.
Neat piece. (I thought I left a comment earlier...)

Nice poems, Mom (not that your my Mom...). It might be cool to alternate lines of each poem, so it's like a dialogue between you and time.
We measure it / it ticks / tell it / it tocks
...and so on. Regardless, they were very entertaining.

I really enjoyed your Friday poem about time and that last line, "but most of all alarms us" is right on for me! eek, the older I get, the faster it seems to go by. Mookie looks adorable on her cat condo!

Oh dear,
First part is it. For me it's my work: IT. Helping people to see the positive sides of IT. Creating e-News letters.
