Recovered Antiques!

A few pics of our newly recovered antique pieces. The cranberry I love but I didn't expect the "Oyster" colour to be so white. I'm thinking at least one of them will go in a bedroom. I can just imagine if someone spilled wine or pasta sauce on one of these! Yikes!

The couch used to be an old horsehair and is actually the same colour as the red chair but looks a lot darker in this picture. My sister and I used to play Queen with this chair when it was at my Grandma's house. She had a special tapestry stepstool we'd use to get on it, pretending a servant was helping us!

Don't think any servants will be in attendance when these new pieces grace my house!

Gorgeous and they look comfortable. Recovered makes me think they were alcoholics in their old life.

Dang, those are lovely.

I'm envious. Except I'd go crazy trying to keep them nice.

So very pretty! I, too, would worry about the white chairs in the dining room. Or you could just make a point of serving only white food and drink?

oooh what absolutely gorgeous pieces of furniture MOI! I would want to put them in a display case instead of using them, they're exquisite and I could imagine worth quite a bit too!

Beautiful pieces.
I especially love the white- although my black dog would wreak havoc with them.

Thankssssssssss all. Yes, I love these pieces but am really giving second thought to the colour we chose. I may have to put some kind of cover thing to protect it a bit.
They are actually comfortable.

They look like brand new! Beautiful! You can put a stain-guard product on to save worrying about spills.

What beautiful pieces. Knowing that they once belonged to your grandma makes them priceless.
