Exciting Monday!

I'm excited because tonight we're going into the Big Smoke to see the fabulous Bonnie Raitt concert! The special occasion is our 26th wedding anniversary which is actually this Wed., July 12th. We saw Bonnie about 5 years ago but she's since come out with a few more CDs and I love to see her perform. She makes her slide guitar look so smooth. Her words just ooze out like molasses when she speaks or sings....such fluidity! I think I know every bar of music in all her songs! She has so much funk and soul just flowing out of her from her southern roots - enough for all of us!

Okay, Bonnie, I'm up for ya!

"Let's Give Them Something to Talk About"!

Mother of Invention, listening to all her CDs today!

I love Bonnie Raitt. I'm uber-jealous! Recently, I purchased her iTunes Originals and it is fantastic. Sounds like a great way to celebrate your anniversary!

Have fun! I never really listened to Bonnie, but I often sing that song that goes, "People are talking, talkin' 'bout people, I hear their whispers..."
It's a fun song to sing.
Happy Anniversary! Mine is this month too!

Brooksba: Glad that you love her as much as I do! Have you ever seen her live? She has a great back-up band too! Bonnie injects spirit and life into me from her high rockin' tunes to mellow ballads!

Bobealia: That song you're singing was written by Shirley Eikard, a Canadian my sister taught in high school. She pitched this tune to everyone and it was rejected by all and then Bonnie loved it, recorded it and that's what shot her into her 2nd fame come-back. Last time I saw her, Shirley was in the audience and as a surprise, got up and sang it with her!!

You have a Happy Anniversary too! Thanks! (We made it through to the other side of 25! Wahoo!)

Happy Anniversary to you! I hope you enjoy the concert and buy a new CD to remind you of it. We listen to this kind of music nonstop at home because it is my husband's absolute favorite.

Happy anniversary! Our 18th was Sunday. We had lunch at an Indian restaurant the day before, with our kids in tow. Not quite the same as a fabulous concert, but you do what you can and we had fun.

Thanks, Diana! Hope you had a Happy one as well. You two have already passed the national average, quite an achievement these days! It just so happened that we went out west for 2 weeks last year for our 25th and it was such a neat visit with tons of friends!
