What's Up With That Wind?

Some fierce gales you were yesterday!
Yet it was so sunny,
Quite beautiful in fact,
An azure background
for the white fluffy clouds,
moving rapidly
as if some mighty force was pushing them -
Wait!
That was you,
propelling them out of the way!
We barely got a chance to play the game,
"What Shapes Do You See?"
Were you in a hurry to get somewhere?
Where do winds have to get?
You don't punch clocks, do you?
The boughs and branches,
in full foliage,
were bending down,
then bouncing back up,
wildly arching every which way
with frantic force,
frenetic energy,
and frenzied fear....
My five-year-old Horse Chestnut
lost its lowest limb -
snapped right off,
inertia claiming it...
Did you like the effects your power you had?
Or didn't you notice?
No, I don't suppose you did...
And are you now where you were so urgently headed?
I didn't think so!
Mother of Invention, wondering what was up with that wicked wind yesterday?!

It was truly wicked yesterday. She blew so hard she took the shed with her!

Can't help - wasn't there to notice. But often we get the same weather in Norway after some days, so thanks for the warning:-)

The winds here weren't so violent, but they can be quite strong at times.

We're usually too busy to notice the shape of the clouds. What a pity! You've inspired me to look tomorrow.

Hula Doula- Yikes! Hope it didn't take any of your pets! Are you in Tornado country?

Renny- Hey! I didn't know that we sent you our weather! I'll do my warm and sunny dance!

Teri- You might get more Tornadoes, do you? Winds are pretty amazing...the old nature, friend or foe thing!

Barbara- Hope you see some interesting things!
