I Caved!

Mooky, relaxing on the futon! She just lets it all hang out!

Socks, on my sweater, showing off her long, feminine legs. She always poses elegantly!

Our summer bedroom on the top floor is my favourite room! Huge trees nearby offer shade and with the many windows all open, the cooling summer breezes drift in and right through. A pleasant place to catch a nap! It has a balcony off it where you can sip coffee and just relax, watch storms, write, talk on the phone or just think.
I moved on over to New Blogger, albeit very reluctantly. I've noticed some weird changes!

First of all, why is my regular e-mail up at the top right when I thought I had to get a Google Account? I clicked, "Create an Account"! I thought they'd make me a new one.

Secondly, none of you who were commenting have names! You are all Anonymous now! How did that happen? Maybe new comments will have names.

I'm not sure I'll use any of the new features on this, not for awhile anyway! Maybe picture uploading and links will be faster and successful more often! I'm going to try...

It worked!

Okay...trying a link...Annelisa...thanks again for your work getting the video together and the whole package onto You Tube! We've had 1072 hits!

Mother of Invention, at the mercy of new Blogger!

Okay..I'm christening New Blogger with the first comment! Hope you guys can have your names here instead of being all anon as in all the previous posts once it "migrated" me over here!! I laughed when I saw that word during the process! I was looking for the lead bird in front but I was flying solo!

Still fearing change. Plus i hate being told what to do. It has become a challenge to find the tiny old blogger sign-on on the page.

Kicking and screaming i will go.

Cute kitty cats!

I switched a few weeks ago and have had no problems - but I don't do anything fancy, so - my blog is no test of their mettle.

I like the sound of your summer bedroom w/balcony. The last B&B we stayed at our bedroom had a small balcony - it overlooked the town and bay.

Your Socks is our Emily's cousin, it would seem, although Emily is rather chubby.
Your blog is a treat, thank you for stopping at potsblog!

Mother of Invention: To reply to your comments, here, that way I know you shall easily find them. I am listening to your song now, as I had earlier in the week, not sure about youtube yet, but I hear your beautiful song now--maybe the fifth time! Fantastico.
Etna as you can see is a pretty little hamlet, only a couple of hundred people, but right outside a small city and a huge student population at Cornell and Ithaca College. I was just looking at the river a second ago and thinking about the people who do canoe or tube in it, half a year ago anyway. I have not yet. Interestingly, it is nearly solid ice now, and the millions of ducks and geese behind our house look rather cold. The pond you saw is at my parent's farm, 44 miles, or one hour, east of us here. They have a great spot, some meadow, a river, a creek, a big pond of their own, hillsides, trees, and surrounded by 5000 acres of state forest. The middle of nowhere.
You are another of my many Canadian visitors. I have so many friends in Kingston now that we visited in November (only 3 hours north, and we shall visit Kingston in March again), and had visitors from Toronto here in October.
I think that covers most of it, I shall listen here often, and thanks for coming over to my spot and introducing yourself!

Maggie: For me too, thank God! Now I can relax!

Meno: I was with you until they took me by force across to The Other Side!! I call it, "Old Bugger" now!

(My Kitties rule my house! They're too cute to kick off my bed, hence it remains unmade!)

Bob: I don't do any fancy stuff either.
Many people have looked at this bedroom and have made plans from it to build on to their houses.

Gr: Thanks so much! I looked for Emily's pic on your blog to compare but I couldn't find any, although maybe she doesn't hang aroung the wheel and your kiln enough to be in the pottery shots!

Thanks..I'm glad you like the song! To view the vid, go back a few posts and click on You Tube.

Your place as well as your parents' seem like such nice peaceful places to live!

Thanks again, Pottery Man!!

Yowser, MOI, What a post! Smart is an understatement... what, did you have a techno-change as well as a blogger one? Lookatchoo - so Cooool!! You'll be giving me advice on layouts and what-not soon!!

Your Mooky is so cute! And socks is adorable! (She looks like the one in charge :-)

And now I understand what you were saying about your summer bedroom over at mine - it looks just perfect! I could spend a happy hour or two there... (eating split pea & ham soup... and guzzling any sweet stuff you'd made!)

I think you'll find we all remain anonymous forever now (see if you can guess who wrote what! I tried on mine, and it wasn't as easy as it might seem :-D) But it looks like names are being left fine now, so cross fingers...

:-) and a proper link!! :-D yahay! you're a pro!

Welcome to your new blogger... may you have much fun with her!

My problem is everytime I have to sign with my new long google name, it won't "remember" like it's supposed to.
Your cat looks like my Pearl, too, only Pearl is pretty obese, maybe she'd look good posing like that.

I LOVE that your song is playing when I open up your blog, Ruth. It is so very catchy and lovely. Great lyrics. BRAVO!

I've decided to wait on New Blogger until I'm forced to move over. I want the rest of you to work out the kinks first so that you'll know what to do if I need help. :) Another Bravo, for switching!

Welcome over to new Blogger - I think your doing fine and the anonymous comments problems are fixed too I can tell.

Even labels are working I can tell! Remember you can label all your old post too. I did it on my blog last weekend and by that hoping that people find my different subjects more available.

Wishing you a lovely week ahead!

Annelisa: I doubt I could ever give you any tips...oh, I did tell you how to cross out words but I couldn't do it myself!!
Thee is no change...it must be things just look neater because now I can actually leave spaces between pictures more easily...or maybe that was a fluke!

Okay, you can stay in that bedroom .....well, not in winter! It's all closed up now!

Yeah, I'll have to try and label all my prevoius posts like Renny suggested.

Susan:Hope the New Google will remember who you are soon! What a pain!
Pearl isn't THAT fat!

Steve: So that's why I'm limping!!
Welcome to THE OTHER SIDE! Old Bugger...I mean Blogger, will get you very soon! Especially when you leave a trail on all of our blogs!!

Ginnie: Thanks! I don't know how Annelisa figured out how to have the song play each time you go on but I'm finally learning the words! LOL!

That's what I said a few days ago about changing to New B. but they came and took me away! They will win in the end! Others will help you through it.

Renny: Thanks, my good friend! That is a good idea and I'll try it soon. It will take a long time to get to all of them!
Have a good week ...are you still the Tour Director in Oslo?!

I jumped to the new Blogger last week. I don't know what came over me, I just clicked and then my life flashed in front of me. It was a bit buggy the first few days but seems to have sorted itself out. Good thing, as I wouldn't have the slightest idea as to how to fix anything.

A lot of people seem to be complaining about the new blogger. When it comes to technology I hate change! The cats have it right. They know how to live without worry!

Mona: That's good! Build an add-on!

Diana: You and me both!

Colleen:Yeah. they have no worries in life! I'm comin g back as a pampered cat! Yes, it's our house at the back..my favourite spot!

Barbara: Yep, I did it...now I have to practise with it to see what it does that's different. I equate that sunroom with freedom that comes with summer! We've been in it as early as late April when there was an unusual heat wave. I'll have to post pics of the inside. It's like a cottage.

Old Lady: Go to her site and discover why she's bald underneath all her wigs! Very touching story about what friends do for each other.
Yeah, so far so good..I might even like the label thing. It seems faster and easier to get to the edit page, although the edit still doesn't change the spacing!! That's why I colour some paragraphs.

Brooksba: Yeah, me too. I'll have to watch for all the new things you do with it.
Cats rule! Have you ever had one? Kittens are irresistable!

hiya again, MOI - just read your last comment about not changing the spacing... if you go into 'edit' mode, you can put a space between paragraphs, or you can do as I have sometimes (when all else fails!) and put a single full stop, then colour it the colour of the page!! :-D In compose mode, you have to press return twice to get it to recognise the space.... though I'm not sure if that's what you were meaning...

btw - I have an inch of hair now!! It's even beginning to get flattened by sleeping on it :-D Now to decide whether I keep it short like this (everyone seems in agreement that 'it's taken years off' my 251, and that it 'suits my bone-structure'... so, well, that's quite flattering isn't it! But it feels like something missing... hmmm

MOI - you are over in the new world:-)) Only with minor temporary challenges. It's great I think. Your beautiful song starts as it should, and I'm listing like a cat every time. Congrat.

Cat - you have a beauty of a cat. A queen. So photogenic. Formidable.
