Miscommunication
Far Away and Losing Touch
can’t seem to get a good connection
Old Ma Bell says,
"There’s too much static on the line, dear."
man, does she have that right.
my mom used to tell me that
there were too many birds sitting on the wires!
what are they doing there anyway,
sitting spellbound
as if they’re in some chorus line,
listening to all the conversing
humming along the wires?
wish I could "reach out
and get the long distance feeling"
(well not exactly the feeling I was going for!)
maybe just reach out
and get any feeling ….
but
guess I’ll just have to hang up
(my hang-ups get me every time!!)
and try again later….
when the lines of communication

Hi MOI! Good pun on the phrase 'hang up'. Yep...wishing we could communicate long distance eh? Hang-ups...don't we have them.
Where is the pic of the rose? I'd love to see that. Take care.

I thought they were birds but then I wondered if they were shoes. I've seen shoes hanging like that in college towns.
Glad for this communication.

Spying birds, they are. Listening to all communications - hope they can not read.LOL. But they can here you sing. That's why it's so many birds sitting there;))
Hugs from the Summerhouse on the longest day of the year.

meno: Me too. I don't know 'bout that. I'm looking and no tunes are flooding in my head!
Barbara: Maybe! I always wonder which bird was there first!
GR: "Hello!" "Yeah, she's here! "It's for you!"
Brooksba: Thanks! Happy Summer Solstice to you too!
Toraa: Those birds are my fan club maybe! HA! You're the president! Thanks so much! I bet you're staying up until the sun sets!

Great word play Mother. I love to watch birds on a wire. They are so busy and I often wonder why they change places.
