Poetry Friday/Saturday! "Hide"

Poetry Friday became Saturday! Mona gave the word, "Hide". Two entries today!

hidden discovery
cover your eyes
i'm counting
hide-and-go-seek
game of life
but you'll never find me -
(heck, I'M still looking!)
deep inner thoughts
sometimes hidden from me
i even sleep in a hide-away bed
camouflaged slumber
in my escape place
ever searching
for
The Clue To The Hidden Treasure
a new Nancy Drew
i'm the ghost writer
but
i can't even read it
or crack the code
to solve the mystery
of me
Take #2!
me
concealed
sheltered
shielded
protected
out of sight
obscured
unexplained --
no wonder i can't find myself

Oh, I love hide-away beds! The promise of sleep under your bottom whilst you watch Wheel of Fortune and old Betty Davis movies....

Totally fun! When I thought of hide, I imagined the way keys/socks/cell phones always seem to disappear.

You seem pretty open for a hidden person. I like the Nancy Drew reference.

Mona:They are so cool and I've never sen one in real life...was one on Oprah recently!

Brooksba: Yes, certainly that! I also thought of, "I'm going to tan your hide, boy!"

Gr: Yerah, I had to go down the mine shaft for this one!

Meno:Yes, you're right, I was just reaching in a universal type wayfor this. Must be true for some though.

Abigail: Thanks. You should try it some Friday. Get the word at Mona's every Thurs.

I especially liked take#2. we all have our inner selves that are all of those things. for some of us, though, those describe our outer selves too. it's why it sometimes takes a lifetime to figure out who we are.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and I do hope you stop by again. Thank you for remembering my sister in your prayers. I love the song you are playing.

Bob: You got that right! That's why I said in the first one that I was still looking! You're never done growing into who you are I guess.

Starry Nights: You're welcome and thanks, that song is my own that I wrote and recorded. (I posted the words on a previous post)

Hi MoI girlfriend -

I love both editions.........I loved Nancy Drew as a child.....she helped me 'hide' from a difficult childhood......but I also like the second, more elusive version (of course....considering my own proclivities.....) great work, as always.....!!

Maggie and Coll: Thanks!

RDG: Thanks..they both came Spilling Out but weren't really connected so I had to separate them. I can do stream-of-consciousness thoughts more easily than the kind of ideas that have to be placed very carefully. You do that really well!
