Have A Hairy Day!

My "Hair Piece" for Hair Day over at Mona's is here. NOT WORKING!! I give up! It's June 13th, 2006.

New Blogger didn't want to publish it today!! I hate when it says: "Your opening tag doesn't match the closing tag"! I have NO idea what that means or how to fix it! Sometimes it will publish if I publish a new little test post, and then I just go back and delete the test...but not today!
Quickie: Hair
soft, curly,
frizzy, straight
problem hair,
just can't wait
long, short,
thick, thin,
whatever I do
I just can win!
blunt, bob,
pixie, perm
anxiously sitting,
I always squirm!
Mother of Invention, going to make that dreaded appointment!

Down here when we have a long ways to go we say "its a "fur piece down the road"...but I've never been a "hair piece"... back in my day it was cool to say "piece on yer head, man"...
And since i have gone this far, and am the 1st to comment, allow me to inflict myself further...who remembers this?

I'm aware some stare at my hair.
In fact, to be fair,
Some really despair of my hair.
But I don't care,
Cause they're not aware,
Nor are they debonair.
In fact, they're just square.

They see hair down to there,
Say, "Beware" and go off on a tear!
I say, "No fair!"
A head that's bare is really nowhere.
So be like a bear, be fair with your hair!
Show it you care.
Wear it to there.
Or to there.
Or to there, if you dare!

My wife bought some hair at a fair, to use as a spare.
Did I care?
Au contraire!
Spare hair is fair!
In fact, hair can be rare.
Fred Astaire got no hair,
Nor does a chair,
Nor nor a chocolate eclair,
And where is the hair on a pear?
Nowhere, mon frere!

So now that I've shared this affair of the hair,
I'm going to repair to my lair and use Nair, do you care?

The good thing about hair is that it is never permanent. It will always grow out. So even if you do something disastrous, it will not last forever!

When I shaved mine off I looked so much like a man I was at once thrilled and horrified. It sure was cool, though, and easy care. But now I've got my sights set on long messy hair all in layers, with the grey in it. We'll see if I'm patient enough. Good luck with the appointment.

I've been growing my hair for Locks for Love and have not had it cut in two years (except for trimming the ends now and then). It's so nice to just tie it up or back and not give it a second thought. People are used to seeing me with my now-below-the-shoulder, straight, fine, mouse-colored hair and though long hair is declasse for soneone my age, I'm not in any big hurry to cut it.

:-D Not a hairy day, but yesterday was a hair-raising day, with sledging down a steep slope... toppling and spinning... fun!

Nope, can't say I'm thinking much about hair at the moment... I'm trying not to anyhow! :-)

Tried the 'here' link, and it sends you to this weird page... so, what you bin doin' to it? huh?

Did you get your appointment then?

Steve: You're a nutbar! (I do remember this) But feel free to expess that anywhere you wish! Guys have it easy...don't have to mess around much with hair and certainly save $$, especially if they're bald!

I saw the Musical, "Hair" when I was 16! "Give me a head of hair, long beautiful hair...."

Barbara: True, true, but we sure go through some ordeals between the episodes of good Hairdos! My mom always wanted us to get perms for the summer and we looked like poodles!

Shara: Did you shave it for cancer? (Annelisa did...2 1/2 feet of hair..check out her story on her blog below...has the video too! She raised a ton of $$) I got teased once when I had a Twiggy cut and was really skinny and some boys said I looked like a boy! I was mortified and vowed to let it grow and never have it that short again!

Pauline: Actually, my hair sounds very much like yours; it's long..about mid-back, blond highlights on medium light brown, very fine hair. I try to cut my own bangs! It is easy to put it up in clips and scrunchies! See Shara's comment for Annelisa's Hair Story for cancer.

Annelisa: Your hair should start looking really cool with gel spikes very soon!

I thought I was following the directions perfectly and I did it 3 times and it still won't work!

I said that I think in the new blogger if you write under the text tab rather than the html tab, you should be fine. Try it. Congrats on going through with the new blogger!!!

Mother of: at my blog you can my 1987 version of big hair, but it is not that rather exciting green color I see above.
And blooger just acts that way to tease and irritate. It is quite childish.

The hair quicky is formidable. I couldn't do that, in english. Only in my native language. Hair is hår.
You don't even have the letter" a-ring" in the english alphabet. But that doesn't matter, when the wind is blowing in your hair, you can scrap your old hairdryer and save electricity. Use it for heating these days.

Have a wonderful weekend.

=^.^=

PS. Blogger has really teased me today (evening). The font seizes came absolutely wild out, completely out of control. And I, yes, teared my hair.

No, not for cancer, just because I got tired of messing with it, and had bleached and dyed it for years, covering grey for decades, and I was just in a mood to start over, so out came the clippers.

Blogger has been a spoiled little child lately, throwing tantrums and stomping its feet and refusing to honor even the simplest request.

Wish I could spank it and send it to its room.

I got my hair done today, and it was the most relaxed I've been in months!

Tora: I think I would find your language difficult! I can't wait for summer breezes to dry my hair!
Have a great weekend too! Don't tear out too much hair!

Gr: Ah, yes! I see it now! Very bushy au naturel!!

Shara: Brave woman! I too, have highlighted my hair trying to cover grey and I'd like to have really short hair but I don't suit it that much.

Diana: I must admit, it has a good sense of smell! I'm the weakest!

Mona: I love people doing stuff with my hair...as long as it looks okay afterwards!

MoI - I love this rhyme - it's clever, witty, silly and fun all at the same time.......I believe I'm the one in the second picture.....now that I have so much gray, which, yes I vainly color, my hair is just one big frizzy mess........can hardly tame it.......but am not ready, just yet, to part with my long locks.....and I'm crazy too - in manic moods, I'll change the color, style: I've been all over the spectrum - platinum (I called it playboy bunny blonde...LOL)to dark brown, honey blonde, red to now auburn......it's a lot like painting my rooms: a fast change when I need it!! Silly aren't we, about our hair.......I'm afraid if I shave it, everyone will see my lumpy head.......ugh!

Amazing how much trouble we put ourselves through for our hair. That reminds me, I need to dye mine again...

:-D I'd have to say, all the trouble people (including me normally) go to do our hair... I'm so revelling in not doing anything with it just now! :-) I have a lot of grey showing through, though it's so short, and I haven't even covered it up as I usually would... what's going on? Am I getting so old I don't care any more?

Usually, like RDG, I have every colour under the sun in my hair (my favourite has always been the green and black look I have on the piccie in my sidebar)... but... I haven't even been tempted... weird! :-S

RDG:Thanks! You? Gray? Nah! But you are cool and brave doing all your funky colours! I'm too staright for anything wild...just highlights for me!

OLd Lady: Long, short or medium length?

Brooksba: There must be a fortune spent on hair and hair products!

Annelisa: You used to colour 2 1/2 ' of hair? What a job! You were wild and colourful and now you're not? Nah, you stil do the wig thing! Post a pic soon of your real hair!
