Poetry Friday On Saturday!
Maggie, at Mind Moss, riddled us to have us guess the word to inspire us for a poem or whatever. Okay, Mags, I'm riddling you back! The word was "melt".
This hot sizzling poem is dedicated to Maggie, Queen of Steam!
colourful, captivating
appealing and addictive
women covet and constantly crave you
desperate with desire
we drool and devour your divine taste
counting on you to satiate our hunger
you sooth us and we savour
easily read you
crack your coat
and reach your silky centre
we hoard and hide you
sometimes share you
we shake you
begging you
to keep up the regular rhythm
our own percussion instrument....
cymbals crash
!
we scream out you name
at the peak of pleasure
!
- and then...
the gravity of guilt grounds us
in yet another
"MELTS" in your mouth not in your hands" moment!
Epilogue: You always think outside the box, but you sure don't spend much time there!
Your IQ is not as high as your brother's....
He's a REAL SMARTIE!
HA! HA! HA!
Any answers to this riddle? (If you don't get this, you're not a normal woman or have never had PMS!)
Any titles?

MMmmmmmmm.....
You are a clever girl. I prefer dark chocolate though - there's a handmade chocolate place just down the road. No candy coating for me lol

Pauline: I wouldn't turn down dark, but the milk just seems so creamy and "melt in your mouth"!
Renny: Thanks for the kind words on my "sweet" poem! You have a good one too.
Brooksba: Thanks...you are lucky not to love chocolate so much...that is so rare! What's your downfall? I also crave salty snacks sometimes.
Bob: Thanks, Bob! I've never even heard of the almond M&M's! I'm sure to love them!
Toraa: You think you're confused! I'm not sure what you mean by "shift" and "stepmother's flowers". We just have a few crocuses in bloom but we're getting snow next week!

HA! useful phrase....

I've always been a big M&M fan. I used to eat only one color although I can no longer remember what it was!

You do know that us men get PMS as well...we have a little cycle of our own. You need to remember that.

so, MOI, I am down at the store and a car with Ontario plates goes by, and the border says 'Barrie Ford' and I say 'hey, MOI is here for a visit!'

Mmmm...chocolates my favorite. You certainly spill out some good writes. I enjoy thoroughly your blog of poems... Thank you again for your encouragement.

aaaaaghh! Think I've done this before but i'd forgotten! If I open your blog and annelisa's at the same time your song goes off twice... and unless you're lucky it clashes with itself in quite a stunning fashion!
I've been offline for a while so haven't visited - but today I am amazed by the amount of poetry I've missed - and by the quality and amazing vocabulary!

MOI, you rock! That was awesome and you made a riddle of it. I love it!
Now for some reason I'm feeling like picking up a box of M&M's. Wonder why?

I love M & M's, especially the peanut butter ones...
Chocolate is my hardest addiction to get over. Guess I'll stop trying to get over it.

Melting is a great topic. I just got lost visiting other poetry friday sites. Now I want to check out red dirt (you know we have red dirt too).

Gr: So you should have chased that car down! I probably know them! Was it an Explorer? Yikes! Maybe I WAS there!!???
Twilite: Thank you so much! It's neat to get kind words but from so far away is just cool! And you're welcome.
Top Champ: You Have been gone a long time! It must have been driving you nuts not to get your daily fix of blogging!
I have had that happen with the song too! Or if you press the You Tube link. It's usually just strange but the odd time it sounds like a round or fugue or whatever! (You're the professional musician!)
Thanks for reading my "Spill-outs"! and liking them!
Maggie: Thanks, Maggie! That WAS just for you...at first I thought the word was going to be "riddle" and I just followed your lead. Was a great word!
Jocelyn: Yes, those PB kind are deadly! Like Reese's Peeses!
Do you ever do this write-a-poem-about-a-word-thing with your students? Would be so interesting to see what they came up with! I used to do it with Gr.6's but it was a talking contest and they only had 30 seconds to gather ideas. You really got to know who was fluent with ideas!
Colleen: It is such a fun challenge! And it's quick. Glad you're checking out RDG's. Pauline, at Writing Down The Words, (sidebar) does Poetry Thursday...and That one has a huge base of poets.

M&M's are tender and sweet.
